This past week I had the pleasure of shooting my friend Grace for my new collection. With only a 2-hour advanced notice, she naturally gave me her best in every shot. We scouted a lovely location and were elated to find the homeowner willing to allow strangers to roam around his property.
And so, without further adieu, I present my latest work, The Essentials, with hopes that you will also appreciate the spontaneity that went into it.
Simple shapes and classic styles inspired the collection. Minimalism in mind, I wanted to build a repertoire of fundamental elements. Building blocks for a timeless wardrobe. Adding to this, the underlying message that sustainability can be beautiful.

Out West
Long absences from the blog mean several things. And all chalk up to work. Fun work. Funny, I take tons of photos when I can, annoying many, but rarely take the time to share a few. Although instagram and I have grown much closer.
We headed west last week to celebrate my mother. Some parts were straight out of an episode of Bonanza – my dad, the experienced horse whisperer, going for an unintentional joy ride in a creek with his horse Lady. Hilarious!

Blizzard, what?
Emergency Alert! Blizzard Warning. Huh? What? Either my iPhone was hacked and blurting out sounds -bypassing my vibrate setting- or I was in for some crazy weather. Crazy for a Southern girl; keeping it in perspective for you.
Naively, I reasoned I was the only lucky one to receive the alert. Life as usual for everyone around me – I hightailed it over to the Rag and Bone presentation, existed the subway and enter the twilight zone. Laughing at myself, I suffered through snow inflicted wounds. Is it supposed to hurt like this? Or is this some NY engineered hail, complete with daggers and all. (Mind you, while I’m contemplating whether to seek refuge, my life ebbing away, New Yorkers were STILL in their groove.) My hope waned. No kidding. I mean, I couldn’t see. And to look where I was going put me in danger of losing an eye.
*sigh*
Rag and Bone was my first and only show for the day so I cheered up at their Sigmund’s Pretzel bar. What the heck, I might as well reward myself. Aymeline proved to be my favorite model of the week, and entertained the blizzard out of my mind. Blizzard, what?
But of course, reality has a way of bringing itself back.
