While taking a quick photo of the items I recently claimed from my mother’s “going to goodwill” stash, I decided to show you this little red number. The blouse belonged to my great grandmother and is a statement piece in and of itself. With a simple bottom, one could pull this off without looking too busy. Simplicity is key for me. Hopefully the images capture the beautiful pleating, the puffer sleeves, and the vibrancy of the red. It has been a comfortable 70+ degrees here lately, so short sleeved light blouses are still options.
From my mother (top image):
Caramel leather pants
50’s style powder blue trench
Red pencil skirt
Burgundy trousers
Black blazer (not pictured, just realized that)
Blue and gold checked fabric >> Actually from my grandmother.
I’m wearing:
Blouse: my great grandmother’s
Denim: Gap
Flats: Gap
Stop it. That shirt is so beautiful!!
Lol. I can’t stop it Lindsay. :-) And yes it is beautiful. It is even a few sizes too big, but who cares.
By the way, I look forward to your comments.
Oh and I read your post about gratitude. You’ve been reading my mind.
