Flipped | Velvet Dress to Holiday DIY Guide (II) – The Gift Adornment {DIY + Tutorial}

This is part II of the Velvet Dress to Holiday DIY Guide. Read Part I.

Make your gift(s) stand out this Christmas with a little velvety texture. OR get a little Victorian and wear it around your neck. It will for sure become a statement piece either way. Although, I dare you to do the latter. hehe

You will need:

1. Velvet Dress (This one is from my grandmother’s closet…as usual)
2. Ribbon
3. Brown Paper Grocery Bags (I have a ton of them from Earthfare and Whole Foods

Step 1. Wrap gift in brown paper just like you would with regular wrapping paper.

Step 2. Cut velvet into strips and thread ribbon through like an accordion. Push together and you’re done. I liked the unfinished look, hence the random strings.
