Black on black, let’s do blue on blue. It’s a nice change from the usual.
Thanksgiving was like Christmas for me. My Dad opened his cedar chest (mmmm the smell of cedar) and gave me sweaters he no longer wore. Truth be told, these were for my husband but I was the middle man. Is that greedy of me?
This blue one was a bit boxy; not my man’s type anyway…
(Tutorial after the jump)
You will need:
– A large men’s sweater (I used my Dad’s old Brooks Brothers’ sweater)
– Scissors
– Optional: Needle & thread OR sewing machine (IF your fabric ravels)
Step 1: Cut from bottom of armpit to armpit.
Step 2: Stitch or hand sew along the edge to keep fabric from unraveling.
Step 3: Fold edge under and stitch along the edge of fold.
Step 4: You’re done! Double up around your next as an accessory / protection from the cold.

I would love to Mika! I’m sure Brian would be okay if we cut up a few of his sweaters. lol
I don’t think I could pull off all blue but it looks great on you!
What size sweater did you use?
Was that an XL sweater?
Likely a large. But XL will do just fine actually, the larger the better.
