This outfit cost me less than $4.
The blouse (tutorial is here) was a few sizes too big, however, it had a lot of character. Personally, I don’t feel bad purchasing an over-sized garment for dirt cheap if I can flip it into a staple piece. Ka-ching! Ba-ding!
Blouse: Flipped vintage find $.49
High-waisted shorts: Thrift $2
Earrings: I made them!
Don’t forget to enter to win a pair of leather earrings.
Find a similar “flip” at apairandaspare here.
cute!
Thanks Bliss! I’ve worn it 3 times now. It’s probably time to wash. :-)
Adorable!!! You’re giving me ideas!!!!
Great! That’s what I’m here for.
oversized ? hmm, if that’s the case i might go on the hunt for a blouse to “flip” myself. Thrift shops have plenty of them but few look flattering on my small fram.
Will the tutorial still be posted ?
Hi Deyna! I also have a small frame and this blouse worked for me. The tutorial was posted the very next day. Let me know if have trouble finding it.
Too cute! But I am having trouble finding the tutorial..?
Hi Claire. Thank you for pointing out that it was not very easy to find. I’ve fixed that. Here’s the tutorial: https://freshlygiven.com/blog/diy/flipped-blouse-tutorial/
Hey Whitney! This is so awesome, I’ve tried it myself and have even posted a link to your tutorial on my newborn blog, which you can see here, http://eleganceofthemind.blogspot.com/2012/07/mens-collared-shirt-up-cycle.html
Let me know what you think! Keep up the great work. :)
